We have the most wonderful memories of Georgia from the restaurant going back 23 years! We remember her through the years as a Loving wonderful woman ! Georgia was always welcoming us into her home and those visits were very special.

Meeting Georgia for the first time, I was smitten!  Her smile was beautiful and filled with love!  Her honesty and sense of humor was refreshing.  Once, while visiting at her home, I asked to see her old photos.  After looking over at least half a dozen albums, she asked if I would come back and look at more.  I loved hearing her stories of the early days in Seattle, as a seamstress.  She spoke a lot about Greece and the land she left behind.

Georgia's friendship was a treasure, one that I will never forget.  From the moment I met her I felt loved and respected.  I will miss her a lot, especially her beautiful smile! 

May her memory be eternal!

I have fond memories of her coming to the Restaurant and singing with us when we were playing and her having a talk with me and showing me how to make Spanikopita and give me some flowers for my garden.

When I was a young student at Seattle University, I met her at her cafe there. I was lacking in confidence and I wanted to give up. She poured out motherly advice. I wasn’t ready to receive it because I was pig headed. 

Years later when I was a mother of a little boy, we went for a walk in the Greenwood neighborhood and saw that there was a tiny Greek Deli next to a mechanics garage. I walked inside and there was my  Georgia. She became an honorary grandmother to my son who loved her deeply. My son came to see her every week after his cello lessons. She told him to share what he had learned. She watched him ride his bike to her door. She taught him
Greek phrases and he loved her and her family. Her zest for life is woven into so many memories. I am truly grateful to her and offer my love and condolences to her brave and beautiful family.

We hugged. We laughed and we danced. She had a beautiful family. Her little granddaughter Nia was often there. She would tease Ryan and he loved the attention. She left us all richer for her presence. We will meet again my dearest friend
