We are here today to celebrate an amazing full life Mom had.


The relationship between a mother and her child is like none other.  Your mother has known you longer than anyone else in the world, and while our relationship might not always have been perfect, my connection over the years runs deep. 91 is a wonderful number to shoot for! I am so glad she cared about her health even up to the last moments.
Dealing with her passing has been one of the hardest, but  most fulfilling things I’ve ever done, second to giving birth 3 times💖, and indeed brought us both closer to God💫 in this transitional process...which is a Blessing in itself.

I am proud to be Gloria’s daughter, with as many things as she taught me that I know I continue to pass on to my children, especially the joy of reading, which she continued as long as she could.

Growing up in the 60s and 70s was a lot different than a child growing up today. We had a great childhood. Dad worked a lot Mom was strict 
(Always a paddle handy on top of the desk just in case.

We were always on a schedule, even Hamburgers on Thursday’s , something we all looked forward to.
Sunday always meant Sunday School and the choir for me & mom was a Sunday School teacher for years at St Andrew Episcopal Church, around the Greenlake area.(dad would drop us off in our Ford wagon with the back seat facing backwards.)

Our house was clean and of course vacuumed all the time since my dad was in the business. We had one of the first color TV’s in the neighborhood thanks to Dad’s bartering.
I had great birthday parties.
I remember the best part was we lived three blocks from the elementary school McDonald and could always go to the playground. We had great neighborhood fun & lots of kids in the neighborhood ....
Always having to be home at 6 o’clock for dinner every night. I always tried to tagalong with my older brother John and his friends whenever possible, and Chris and I were always doing things together because we were only 17 months
