Gretchen is survived by her six daughters, Yvonne Marie, Maria Amanda, Pia Isabel, Dora Luz, Astrid Maria, Maria Ileana, his nephews (Phillip, Elizabeth, Jose Antonio and Billy), 22 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four sisters and their families and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, two siblings and her daughter Gretchen Guadalupe.
Gretchen left Nicaragua to reunite with her family in Seattle. She spent most of her life caring after her grandchildren from Florida to Arizona back to Seattle.
Gretchen loved Nicaraguan and Chinese food. She made the best Arroz con Pollo. Christmas was her favorite time of the year , she spent months planning for the menu and finding the perfect gift for each family member. Her grandchildren would always count with their grandma's birthday card a month early.
Her residence was decorated by pictures and figurines of her favorites devotions of her Catholic Faith and family pictures.
