GWEN WRIGHT left us Thursday, November 29. Born in Seattle and raised in Spokane, Gwen is survived by John F. Wright, her husband of 58 years.
Gwen was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America, and had recently received her 75-year service recognition from the Girls Scouts. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Gwen used her bookkeeping and organizational skills as office manager for the Granite Curling Club, where she was a member for more than 25 years. Gwen was also a competitive curler, and a member of state championship curling teams in both Minnesota and Washington. During retirement, Gwen and John enjoyed traveling from Alaska to Mexico while wintering in Arizona in their motor home.
Gwen leaves her two sons, Dan (Nancy) and Mike (Teresa), five grandchildren, Megan, Mitchell, Tracey, Alex and Anastasia, and her four brothers and sisters, Donald (Ann) Wing, Sally Gerard, Alan (Darleen)Wing and Douglas (Glenna)Wing.
