Harold Barnett was born June 8, 1931 at Long Beach, CA. He grew up in Bothell, WA and graduated from Bothell High School in 1950. He graduated from Seattle University. Harold served his country as a Corpsman in the US Navy. He worked for the National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administrator as a Research Chemist for over 40 years before retiring. He married Marianne Stybel in 1956, and they had 2 sons. Harold died on August, 8, 2024 at his home.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marianne Barnett and a sister, Suzanne Redding of Shoreline, WA. He is survived by his daughter Glenda Wheeler of Longview, WA; his sons Dr. John H. Barnett and his wife Laurie of Lawrence, KS and Stephen Barnett of Everett, WA; his brother Slade Barnett and wife Marie of Bothell, WA; a sister Alice Dunavent of Moses Lake, WA; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
