Passed away at home on July 23, 2003 at the age of 83. Harold will always be remembered for his tremendous inner strength, his exceptional positive attitude and outlook on life. He loved life and lived it to the fullest; traveling, square dancing, volunteering at his church, bowling, gardening, playing pinochle, and puttering around his home and cabin on beautiful Lake Cavanaugh. But what Harold enjoyed most of all was his family and friends. He was a loving, caring and dedicated husband, married to the love of his life and soul mate Dorothy for 54 years. And to his two daughters Margaret Peggy, Crane and Linda Chase, he was the best Dad anyone could ever hope for. In addition to his wife and daughters, Harold is survived by his brother Lowell Johnson, son-in-laws David Crane and Dan Chase, grandchildren Laura and Brian Chase and Nathan Crane, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Harold graduated from Ballard H.S. in 1938 and attended Edison Technical School where he received training to be an electrician. After serving in the Air Force in WWII, He worked 38 years for Seattle City Light in the meter division. All who knew Harold will miss his precious gentle spirit, his engaging smile and the twinkle in his eye. A memorial service will be held, Wednesday, July 30th, at 2 pm at Olympic View Church 425 NE 95th St. Seattle. Everyone who knew and loved him are welcome to attend. Remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., Olympic View Church, or a charity of choice.
