Hazel Henderson Kearnes, age 96, passed away in Seattle WA, on December 1st, 2013. She was born September 22, 1917, in Troy AL, and grew up in Albany GA, but had been a long time resident of this area. She was a member at St. Mark's Cathedral, a past Director of the St. Mark's Alter Guild, and a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of Washington.
She had been preceded in death by her husband James Patrick Kearnes; and is survived by two sons and their wives, James and Deborah Kearnes of Seattle WA, and John and Tina Kearnes of Kenmore WA; four grandchildren, Maren Kelly of San Antonio TX, Kristin Sullivan of Anchorage AK, Colleen Kearnes of Seattle WA, and James Kearnes of Kenmore WA; and two great grandchildren Maeve and Jamie Kelly of San Antonio TX.
There will be private committal at Washelli Columbarium. It was her wish that remembrances be made to a charity of choice.
