

Heather May Evans ( Pinney ) was born in East Hartford Connecticut and lived there until she was 2 years old.
She was the second of two children born to parents Linda Ann Pinney and Robert Walter Pinney.
At the age of 2, Heather moved to Southern California with her mother, and lived there with her grandmother, Betty Ann Evans until she was four, at which time Heather, her mom and her Grandmother moved to Seattle Washington to be closer to her Uncles Lyle Evans and Ian MacCallum.
Heather was raised by her mom, Linda, in Shoreline from the age of 4. She attended Brookside Elementary School and Graduated from Shorecrest High School in 2007. After that, she decided to become a dental hygienist and attended Shoreline Community College to begin her pre requisite coursework. While attending Shoreline, she worked for 3 years in the deli at the Fred Meyer Store in Lake City to put herself through college.
As a child, Heather's spirit was mischievous and playful. She was fearless in her teasing of her cousins Wesley and Justin Evans. She had her own way of thinking and being. Already independent at 4 years old.
In her adolescence, she was the only girl on an all boys basketball team for an entire season. She held her head up high and played right with the boys the entire time. Sometimes getting discouraged, but always completing the games and she never gave up!
As she became a young woman, Heather became confident, happy, engaged in, and excited about life.
She discovered an inner confidence and beauty about herself that she had never known before. She discovered a new found love in taking care of and nurturing the children she had encountered at Genesis House. She glowed and raved about how much she loved those kids. She shared with us at this last Christmas that helping others and getting out of herself was so rewarding.
Heather was known there for being funny, very hard working and responsible.. She was sweet, kind hearted and devoted to helping those around he .
Her sweetness touched a countless lives.
She lived at Genesis House in Madrona for the last 8 months of her life. This is the place that helped Heather to realize her greatness. Heather did the work, but "G House" guided her on the path her realization of what an amazing person she truly was.
Heather will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends and will always remain in their hearts.
She is survived by her mother Linda Ann Pinney, her Sister Christine Jordan, her Uncles: Daniel Evans, Lyle Evans, Gregory Evans and Timothy Evans,. As well as her large, loving extended family.
