

Henry “Hank” Cave Jr. was born on January 14, 1941 in Hastings, Florida to Henry Cave Sr. and Dorothy Lymas. Hank graduated from High School in 1958 and afterwards moved to Seattle, Washington with his mother.
In 1964 Hank joined the United States Army and was stationed in Oakland, California. After serving his country in the Vietnam War, he received the Vietnam Service Medal – Expert (Rifle M-14). Hank was honorably discharged in 1966.
Hank returned to Washington and worked as a Correctional Officer at the Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, Washington. Hank loved being a football coach for the Central Area Youth Association (CAYA). Along with his many other endeavors he became a Mason with the Prince Hall Masonic Temple in Seattle, Washington. When he later moved back to Florida, he became a Past Master with the Sturwell Lodge #348 and remains a lifelong member.
Hank had a passion for fishing and would spend countless hours sitting on the bank, dock and in his boat. He enjoyed playing dominoes and pinochle with anyone, anywhere at anytime. He was also an avid golfer before becoming ill. Also, if you knew Hank he really loved spending time at the casino.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents, only son Lydell Moore and grandson Rodney. Hank is survived by his wife of 21 years Brenda, his daughter Lisa, three brothers; Brandon, Ellery and Jackie, six sisters; Antoinette, Audrey, Beverly, Carolyn, Debra and Kathryn, two grandchildren Natasha and Lydell and his great grand daughter Stephanie.
He also leaves behind, stepchildren Darcy (Dale), Deidre (Rick), Kenya (Pariss), Michael and Jason, five step-granddaughters, Shateila, Daisha, Daejanique, Renesha and Chelsy, and four step-grandsons Dewane, Daquan, Joshua and Miles and a host of step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends to cherish his memory.
Hank celebrated life on his own terms with much love and always a smile.
