Henry King Mills passed away on May 29th, 2015, after battling cancer for 5 years and suffering a disabling stroke on May 11th. He was born in Seattle on December 20, 1932, attended Roosevelt High School, and graduated from the University of Washington with a Business Degree. Henry was a pilot and officer in the United States Air Force, serving from 1956 to 1980. In addition to his heroism as a combat pilot, he also performed such acts of valor as an in-flight maneuver diverting an unmanned jet from crashing into a village.
Henry's loving wife of 47 years Jill Mills passed away in 2007. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Lee, and is the father of Scott Mills, Linda Knight, Jeff Mills (and wife Tanya), and proud grandfather of Isabel, Ellie Lu, Kyle, Thomas, and Haley. Henry is also survived by his sister Marilyn Pearson and many other loving family members. Henry's gusto for life was admired by everyone he knew, and he was friend and mentor to many in his years as a fighter pilot, back packer, mountaineer, sailor, businessman, father and friend.
