Henry Miner “Hank” Preusser, 99, of Des Moines, passed away April 5, 2018. He was born in Belvedere, California on March 22, 1919. Hank Graduated from the School of Engineering and received a Bachelor degree of Science from the University of California at Berkley.
He was married to Theodora Anne Yates on October 26, 1940.
Hank had a career in Mechanical engineering, which embraced naval ordinance, radio and radar, the USDA, forest products, including Weyerhaeuser Company, and formed his own company “PanelTech” which provide engineering skills, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and system design for wood products manufacture.
He was a member of Rainier Golf and Country Club, Seattle, and Rio Verde Country Club, Arizona. He had a passion for golf, sailing, and amateur radio (ham)
He is survived by his son, Peter M. Preusser and daughters, Penelope (John) Hickman and Judith Yates. His grandchildren, Kate Preusser, Kristen (Justin) Berg, Andrew Hickman, Matthew Hickman.
He was predeceased by his son, Carl F. (Joan) Preusser, and his brother, Karl Richard “Dick” Preusser.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on May 5, 2018 at Wesley Terrace of Des Moines, Washington.
