

Ida R. Brown was born on January 26, 1936, to Thomas Brown and Mary-Ann Bryant. With her having family in Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and Seattle. In January of 1955, Mother Brown chose, and moved from Curtis, Arkansas to Seattle, Washington.
In 1965 Mother Brown moved her family to the Seattle Housing Authority (Yesler Terrace). While working at numerous jobs, she also became a member and secretary of the Yesler Terrace Tenants Committee. While serving in this capacity, she resigned from Boeing and became a management team member for Seattle Housing Authority.
After twenty-five years of service Mother Brown retired. And Seattle Housing Authority honored her by naming the baseball field after her. “Ida Brown Ballfield - Yesler Terrace”.
In the late 70’s Mother Brown joined Madison Temple, Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.). This was under the spiritual leadership of the late Edgar Gray Jr. Mother Brown loved Madison Temple and served in numerous ministries. Her membership was forty plus years. One ministry Mother Brown was well known for, was her cooking ministry. Whether she was feeding the home-less, sick and shut-in, church family or friends. She always left your taste with a wanting more memory.
Mother Brown was a devoted Christian and loved to travel. And particularly to the Women’s Convention and the Holy Convocation of the Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.). Her formal attire for church was another love of Mother Brown. And you would always see her in unique and hard to find dresses and hats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Brown and Mary-Ann Bryant. Her brothers, Charlie Brown, Jessie Brown, and daughter, Sandra Lollie.
Mother Brown leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Kenny Lollie (Leslie). Grandchildren, Ariel Paine - lovingly raised by Mother Brown, Nicole Lollie, Angela Lollie, Kenny Stone-Lollie, and Gianna Lollie. Great Grandchildren, Aqel, Makarius, Max, Malik Jr., Alaya, and Jace. And a host of relatives, church family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Evergreen Washelli Funeral, located at 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA, 98133, on February 14, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the same venue from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
A committal service is scheduled for Monday February 16, 2026, at Abbey View Memorial Park, located at 3601 Alaska Rd, Brier, WA, 98036, beginning at 12:00 pm.
