Dear Mommy I,
Saturday was Aizik's fifth birthday. I really wish you and Papa could have been there, but I know you both are silently watching over him up there. As I watch him grow up, I slowly recognize the little similarities Aizik has with you, like his little dimple on his right cheek (I'm not sure if that's true, but yeah).  And his birthday is 06/07/2020, the day you (the sixth)  and Papa (the seventh) were both born. What I'm actually trying to say is, God has so many ways to remind us that you both are here, whenever the time. As the school year is starting to end, and your anniversary dates are coming up, I just wanted to give you an update, you know? like old times. And I'll continue to do my best to stand up in front of the church and sing, just like you told me to. But not for the attention, but to praise His name.

its been so long already, but it feels like time flew by so fast, I'm slowly getting used to all the changes, with you and papa even though its been 3 years, its just something I cant get use to because you guys were a big part of our lives. thinking about you makes me want to cry but I know that you're at peace now and your in Gods hands, so I'm very happy. I'm pretty sure only you and Papa have protected me and knew how to raise me when even my mom didn't know how. And if I'm being honest you were the only person I trusted because I knew if I came up to you with a frown you'd make me happy again, you showed me that I don't need anyone to tell me how to be me because God created me, not them. you also taught me  what love is, and that I should love everyone even if they hate me. You taught me that discipline is a good thing, it teaches you more good, and you taught me to always forgive and forget, to never hold a grudge. But when you passed away I forgot everything you taught me and threw it all away, I started talking back, giving attitude, and its all because I didn't wanna think of you and just be sad all over again. but I remembered that you also taught me that Family will always be a big part of my life and will always stay in my heart so, you will always stay in my heart and I will always remember you and everything you taught me Mommy Ipha.

It’s been a year now that you left us. It’s still a little Rocky without you here and I realized how it’s crazy that so many of us depend and rely on you so much. I wish I was able to see you again face to face and say it more often how amazing and strong you are. Thank you for carrying all those burdens strongly. I’m so happy you are free from it. I had gone to your work place recently and had asked about you, and found out by your lady boss.      Before I even came to Washington, YOU reached out to me and told me that you could help me out when I moved to Washington. I really didn’t know you enough back then, and I wondered “how could someone be willing to help a person out, when we don’t know each other like that” 🤣 I never planned to move to Washington, but when I did and we got to see each other, it was like a whole different feeling I’ve never felt before. You were so welcoming and smiled so big when you seen me and my family. Got me feeling so awkward and there you were so jolly. I couldn’t believe someone could be so excited about meeting a “nobody”.  (That’s how I honestly felt) 

    As we got to know each other, and saw more of each other I started to realize that you were so much more than just another relative. You were a sister of mine, put on Earth to help me understand the ways . I had so much respect for you and I really enjoyed our time together. I loved to listen to every testimonials you had to share. (Literally every time you would share, I would have tears in my eyes🥺) Your stories were so inspirational, and I always relate. 
  
 When you’re around you always made me feel comfortable, and welcomed. You did not fail sis. You were always you. True to yourself and carried yourself with grace.  I knew that you were someone I could always go to with anything. I truly admired your strength, and beauty. The beautiful family you had and your big heart. Your heart was always on God and I witnessed you overcome so many obstacles with God by your side. You were a God fearing, humbled, down to earth, and one of the many people I looked up to. I’m thankful to have been a part of your journey and you a part of mine. You taught me to be patient in life and live life abundantly. I will miss your hugs and laugh. Where do I even begin..?

As the sun continues to rise and set, to the stars shining through the darkest nights, the beautiful flower still blooms. Despite the absence of its physical presence, it stays still in its own beautiful garden. Through rain and storms, it stood pleasingly, blissfully, and strongly. Never once had I seen a single petal fall. Although it brought a simultaneous feeling of worrisome and happiness... I gaze at you in complete awe. How courageous you were. The irreplaceable smile and light you reflect off of the sun. How that never went unnoticed. Needless to say, you brought me plenty of comfort & love withal. With open arms, you welcomed me into your garden. Inevitably drawn to you, I aspire and seek to even be a fraction of importance to another as you were to myself. 

Moreover, there are not enough words to express how I long for your presence, our conversations, and your encouragements. Not only were you an inspiration to myself but to many. For that, I am beyond grateful for the time we had together. I will never forget each and every bit of them.

I remember being a kid and we would all be at yigo bonding. I remember you and my siblings leaving the island and just feeling so down. It’s all a glimpse because I was just a little kid. And then we reunited on  April 30, 2021 ❤️ You were already at the airport when we landed and I was walking over to the baggage area to get our bags. Then I hear “Are you Chuukese?” I looked over and I see you 🥺 I smiled back at you and walked over to you to hug you. So delicate. So beautiful in the yellow long dress that you wore. I turned to Daniel to introduce him and you told him “Thank you for loving my daughter. Thank you so much” 🥺 For the couple days I was there, I felt your love. I felt your energy. So humble. So positive. So beautiful inside and out. One night at your house, you read versus from the Bible that spoke about family. And that, I kept in my heart like I said.  When we left that night, I hugged you and I whispered in your ear.. “I love you, stay strong okay?” 😭😭😣😣 When we reunited again, it was July 2, 2021. And this time I was looking at where you waited inside the airport and tears dropped from my eyes. You weren’t there waiting. But because I told you to be strong, I will definitely also be strong cause that’s exactly what you did. The strongest human being ❤️ REST IN LOVE. 

One night at your home, I was sleeping and dreamt of you coming in Tifferson room where we slept and I looked up at you. You stood at the door and you smiled. You said “Read Corinthians…” and then you also said a verse but I couldn’t remember the morning I woke up. The next day, we cleaned the basement and I was fixing your flowers. I was putting your picture up and then I realized there was a verse on it. and it said “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Corinthians” 😢🥺😔❤️ Thank you mommy Ipha. Mommy misses you so much!! 

All the memories I got to make with Aunty are never forgotten and cherished forever. Growing up I wasn’t  able to spend time with Aunty and family it was always thru A FaceTime call. Getting older doe I was blessed to be able to visit Aunty and the family in Seattle while I was growing up in Arizona. One recent memory that I cherish is the time when some of the family from Arizona came out to Seattle while Aunty was in her condition. Even doe Aunty wasn’t 100% physically good to go out, her loving and caring heart took the time  to come and visit and pray with our family.  Her faith, her humbleness  and work for the lord was always shown in the way she acted and moved. Aunty Ipha is never forgotten in my heart and will always be remembered. Love you Aunty♥️ Much love to my brothers and sisters and family from Wichap love y’all ♥️🤞🕊.
