Issa Iskandar Harb was born in Ramallah, Palestine on February 28, 1935. He passed away peacefully on February 27, 2021 in Seattle, Washington. Issa was a dedicated and loving husband, father and friend. He is survived by his children, Maher, Nola, Marlyn, and Basil, their partners, 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Issa is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Violet, and his oldest son Mazen who is survived by his wife Hwayda.
Since a very young age, Issa valued the benefits of education and hard work. He was a lover of family, life, and God. He was a man of integrity and bravery who overcame many challenges. In 1967, during the Six-Day War in Palestine, Issa and Violet moved the family across a bombed bridge over the Jordan river, into the safety of neighboring Jordan. To support his family, Issa found work hundreds of miles away in Dahran, Saudi Arabia, where he excelled as an Airport Manager of Operations. After eight years of living apart from his family, regional post-war unrest, and rising religious conflicts, Issa and Violet decided to move to America for a safer life with greater opportunities.
In 1976, Issa and his sons founded Shoreline Family Autocare and Sales which continues to operate today. He enjoyed running a family business in the community where he was known and loved. All throughout his life, Issa gave without any expectation and with gladness. He will be missed by many.
