Ivory was born May 9, 1938 in Smackover, Arkansas to the late Dolly and Brady Meekins. After high school graduation, Ivory moved to Seattle to live with her Aunt, the late Ara Lee Reese in the late 50's. It was there that she met and married her husband of 55 years, Arthur Willie Williams in May of 1959.
In addition to her husband, Ivory is survived by daughter Sandra Y. Williams of Seattle and son Mancho (Arnema) Williams of Las Vegas; sisters, Thunie N. Meekins and Erma (Duane) Hill of Seattle, and brother B. J. (Fannie) of Kent. She is also survived by grand-niece, Dollena Foster and grand-nephews Duane Hill, II, Daron L. Hill, Derek B. Hill and Daniel A. Hill; four grandchildren, Machela, Mancho II, Mancel and Malyn; and one great granddaughter, Harmony.
