Jack was truly one of the dearest people I have ever met. He was the personification of a gentleman. My deepest sympathy to the family

I have many pleasant memories of Jack High.  Although my husband and I cannot be in Seattle for the funeral, we send out deepest sympathy and condolences to his family.

Thank you for all of the wonderful memories that you gave me Grandpa; falling asleep as you laughed along to the Tonight Show, waking up to a warm fire and hot breakfast in a cold cabin, getting pets as presents, walking me around the neighborhood to trick-or-treat, showing me how to dig for clams and pick berries, patiently moving the clock's hands to 12:00 so that I could see the cuckoo that many more times, sitting in the projectionist booth with you at World Cavalcade matinees and going to eat at Dick's Drive-In between shows, letting me eat as many mandarin oranges as I could unwrap and peel.  Thank you for always telling me how proud you were of me, and how wonderful you thought your great-grandchildren were. I will never know how I was so lucky to have such a wonderful grandfather, but will always be grateful that I did.  You were an amazing man.

Many thanks to Jack for the wonderful memories that he left my daughter Genevieve. He was a true friend to her and a gentleman who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

My former husband Steve & I were residents at Sundin Beach from 1965 until 1986.  I am thinking of you and your family at this time of loss.  I often think of the good times at Sundin and were closest with Jeff while we were there.

Words cannot describe how much my family and I will miss you Grandpa. You were our strength and glue that held the family together, the peacemaker and ultimate comedian. You would drive through rain, sleet and 3 feet of snow to get us all pizza from Joe's or ice cream from Husky's on a Friday night...it didn't matter if you had to get up at 3am for work - you ALWAYS were happy to see us and your energy and drive had no end. You would give anyone your last dollar and your generosity touched so many lives that you probably don't even know. Your jokes and laughter filled every Holiday gathering and our children were lucky enough to know you as well as I...you were the most honest and truly kindest person on this earth - although you would never agree! The only bad thing about you is that you could never accept a compliment...you would always pass it off to someone else...your light will shine on forever..

Jack was a very important part of World Cavalcade during our years at the Opera House.  When Bill and I took over the business, we knew nothing about "projection" and we felt most fortunate to have Jack in the booth looking after us, that was just one thing we didn't have to worry about.  A real gentleman in every sense of the word..........we'll miss you Jack.
