Jackie Aaron Feinstein

Jackie Aaron Feinstein, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away August 6th, 2026, surrounded by family after a long life defined by intellectual curiosity, laughter, and family. Born November 21st, 1939, to Sara and Joseph Feinstein, Jack grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest of four children: Herman, Charlotte, and Seymour.

In the mid-1950s, Jack’s family moved to Seattle. They first lived in the Frye Hotel in the International District while his father ran a cigar store downstairs. Jack attended Franklin High School, graduating in 1958, and spent his teenage years playing clarinet and saxophone.

While at the University of Washington, Jack was known to skip class to play poker and smoke cigarettes at the Hub. That impressed a young coed named Judy, his wife of 64 years. He graduated in 1962 with a degree in economics and accounting. That same year, Jack and Judy got married, and together they drove a 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe for their honeymoon. Jack and Judy had three children, Jeffrey, Julie, and Debra.

He began his career as an accountant for Cedar Homes, eventually becoming the contractor who built their first home in Bellevue, WA. Over the decades, Jack owned and operated several businesses, including Furniture Mart, Fine Ceramics, Distributors Warehouse, and later worked as a driver for Microsoft Connect. He was an avid learner who approached every venture with humor, an infectious smile, and a deep interest in people.

Jack and Judy built a rich social life filled with close friends, outdoor activities, and countless card games. He was, by all accounts, an absolute card shark—mastering bridge, poker, hearts, cribbage, and Wizard. He loved discussing politics, history, business, and current events.

Jack was a regular on the golf course. Playing with family and friends brought him much joy, and he was delighted when his grandkids joined him on the links. They enjoyed traveling with family and friends, including winters in Palm Springs and many cruise adventures. Jack indulged in life’s simple pleasures—root beer floats, cheesecake, Chips Ahoy, pink-and-white cookies, and a strong vodka martini. His sense of humor, kindness, and love of conversation made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judy; children Jeffrey Feinstein (Stacie), Julie Brown (Michael), and Debra Cady (Bruce); his grandchildren Isabella, Jordan, Emily, and Benson; and a large extended family to whom he remained deeply connected throughout his life.

He will be remembered for the way he made every person he met feel valued. Jack lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy worth celebrating – and, undoubtedly, a card table still waiting for one more hand.
