Jade King passed away peacefully on May 7, 2016. Jade was born in Seattle, WA to Walter and Woo Shee Chinn on March 4, 1927. She married David King, the love of her life on December 4, 1949. They were married for 55 years. David preceded her in death in 2004.
Jade worked many years at the Aloha Mart on Beacon Hill, then was a courier for a dental lab in Seattle. She loved to shop for bargains, and she loved to cook. She would bring her family together by cooking for everyone, or treating everyone to a meal out. Her house was the family hub.
Jade is survived by two sons, Ronald King (Seattle), Jeffrey (Valerie) King (North Bend, WA), a brother Melvin (Kyoung) Chinn (Renton), sisters Martha Woo (Seattle), and Polly Ho (New York City). Jade has three wonderful grandchildren, Jason King, Stephanie (Chad) Lofquist, and Stuart King; and one great-grandchild on the way.
We would like to thank our many Helping Hands caregivers, and the Providence Hospice team, for the excellent care and support they have given to Jade and our family.
