
James Lee Curry was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 19, 1954, to the union of Oliver and Sylvia Hunter. He resided in Los Angeles to the age of 12, where he attended Tabernacle of Faith and was baptized at the tender age of 8.
James and his family later moved to Seattle, Washington, where he attended Meany Middle School and Garfield High. He lived in the Seattle area until February 11, 2002, when James, beloved son, father, brother, and devoted friend was summoned to dwell with our Lord God.
James was a loving and caring man with a heart larger than life. He will be truly missed and will remain in our hearts for eternity.
James was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Curry.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father and mother, Oliver and Sylvia Hunter; brothers and sisters, Mattie Davidson, Ruth Cooks, Mary Curry, Dorthy Curry, Annie Mae Sell, Lynn Bruce, Rebbecca Curry, Willie Mae Curry, all of California, Odessa Curry of Mississippi, Christine Curry of Africa, Ikey Curry and Tyrone Curry of California; son Jimaine Miller of Seattle; grandson, Jishai Miller of Seattle; fianc?e JoAnne Goscy; godmother Shirley Holmes; special friends Jeff and Verlean Gladney; and a host of relatives and friends.
