Regarding the passing of my college and army friend, Jim Hoshino I wish to express my deepest condolense on his passing.  He was my long time buddy and we kept in touch with each other for over 60 years.
     I also wish to thank his son-in-law Len Trautman for informing me about Jim's health problem and also for sending me a DVD of Jim's wonderful family life.  Really appreciate it sincerely.

Knowing Jim as a fellow golfer and friend these past years has enriched all our lives in Joe's Bunch Golf Club.  His great ability as a writer strengthend and gave root to our golf club which is now in its 36th year. Trips to Canada and Hawaii to play golf with Jim are some of the fondest memories I will always have.  Jim was alwsys there whenever I needed a confidant for club activities. His smiles and pleasantness is something we will always miss in the years to come. We in Joe's Bunch will someday meet at the 19th green and we will see you there Jim.

Jim Hoshino was one of Joe's Bunch Club members who laid the foundation for what the Club is today.  His presence was always an inspiration to all of us, to be better golfers and better persons.  He was always cheerful and caring for others and for the Club.  His image will forever be with us.

Jim Hoshino was a valuable asset to our Joe's Bunch Golf Club. I always enjoyed his informative writings for our club newletters.  Everyone will remember him for his cheerful attitude and thoughtfulness.  I will miss him.

I miss my dear Uncle James - even though I did not get to see him very often, I will always remember his handsome face and crinkly eyes when he smiled his very infectious smile. How lucky I am to have had him in my life!

Jim was an important and integral part of Joe's Bunch.  He was a great help to me when I served as President in 2007.  I consulted with him on many club issues and valued his advice.  I will always remember his friendly and cheerful personality.  He was a dear friend to us all.

I met Jim in 2006 and golfed with him only twice.  He was friendly and a good golf partner.

Well friends, we had the memorial service for Jim yesterday, here in Seattle.  It was a touching ceremony attended by many relatives and friends, including Jim's brother, Ed.  He made a special point to thank the members of Jim's golf club for their long time friendships and acknowleded the comeraderie that was experienced with the members there.

On behalf of Jim's daughter Cherl, son Wyman, loving wife Shiz, and grandson Sam, we would like to express our extreme appreciation for the may years of friendship you shared with Jim, and for the support you have shown our family, including the caring tributes posted here.
