James was a Vietnam era veteran, served in the United States Army. He worked for King County Washington Mediation Services; he retired October 2009 from State of Washington Employment Security Department, Olympia, Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sisters Joanne Harris of Dallas, Texas; Janice Atchison; Brendlyon Linton; and brother Benjamin Palmer of Seattle, Washington. A host of nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He will be greatly missed.
