I tried over and over to share a memory, but evidently, a photo  has to go with it. Remembering the time we went to a sparkling dinner in Portland's "Pearl" district, at a long gone French restaurant called "La Fenouile." We dressed in our best, drank wine, stayed late. Fond memories of you, Jan.

Most every time I go for a walk, the path leads past your home.  I am saddened that you are no longer with us.  You are missed.

I met Janice in elementary school at church and we became close friends. Our shared faith in Christ bonded us and our friendship continued through high school and college. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding. After my wedding and her move to Oregon to pursue her nursing career, we lost touch until our high school reunion 5 years ago when we rekindled our friendship.  I will miss her greatly. She was a very positive influence in my life and we shared many happy times in our younger days.


Those who knew Jan couldn’t help but love her!  We have been blessed to know her!  She took care of our neighbor Mr. Ed Levi for a number of years, as well as her own parents. What a giving person!   Jan loved music and we had sweet times at symphonies and Hymn Sings.  These lyrics bring comfort at this time of loss; “you alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship thee.” Now she is worshipping her dear Lord.


My most sincere condolences to the family of Jan Case. I met Jan through our mutual love of France. We spent many hours together, in Portland, Oregon, and quite a few days, in Paris, France as well. Many fond memories of laughter, and especially, good French croissants, eaten in Paris! She was a creative, and giving person. My heart breaks at the news of her passing. She will be missed so much.
