Jeanne Marie Hoffman Brosseau was born to Willis J. Hoffman and Mary E. Bell on Aug. 19, 1946, in Seattle, Wash. She departed this life on Sept. 11, 2006, after a brief struggle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Mahlon Brosseau 1974 and her father, Willis J. Hoffman 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Cathleen David Tift, her granddaughters, Payton Marie and Paige Marie, her mother, ten siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She grew up in Seattle, graduated from Blanchet High School and later resided in Marysville, Wash. for 26 years. In 1973, she met and married Dwight, the love of her life. Together they had one daughter, Sarah, who became Jeanne?s passion and purpose. Jeanne and Sarah had a shared love and appreciation of the arts. She loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughters. Their bond is beyond words.
Jeanne will forever be remembered for her support and genuine love for family and friends. Everyone was welcome in Jeanne?s home. Her generosity and graceful spirit lead her to a ten year career in care-giving with Hospice. Volunteer efforts included the Carousel program and Camp Erin. She loved reading, tai chi, Middle-Eastern dance and was an accomplished seamstress. Jeanne was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. We are all comforted that she is reunited with her beloved Dwight ? always and forever.
