Jerry graduated from Edmonds High School, Everett College, studied at Seattle University and later graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. After graduating from Everett College, Jerry began his career at Seattle City Light before moving to the Boeing Company, which became his life-long career supporting Space, Avionics & Military programs.
In 1961, Jerry left Boeing and moved his growing family to Anaheim, California to support the Apollo program through North American Aviation, now known as Rockwell International.
In 1968, he returned to Boeing where he finished his career. Jerry’s career offered many adventures for his wife Diane and their family of six children. One of the most memorable was taking a six-month assignment with his wife to Kwajalein, the largest of the Marshall Islands.
After early retirement, Jerry and Diane enjoyed traveling all over the world, including many vacations and cruises, which they loved to meticulously plan. For many years, their travel also included road trips from Seattle to their second home in Mesa, AZ as retreat during the winter months.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Diane of 66 years; their six children, Teresa, Sheri, Nancy, John, Eric, Tom; as well as twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
Jerry adored his wife Diane and loved each of his children and grandchildren deeply, always staying current with happenings in their lives. Jerry kept up with current events and was an avid reader.
