Our dearest Joan left this life peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of December 4th, 2008 at her home on Shilshole Bay. She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on September 15th, 1927 of Joseph and Ida Klug and was the youngest of six children. She met, fell in love with, and married Clayton on October 10th, 1947 and recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Loving survivors include husband Clayton, daughters Marsha Lynn Crockett Dr. Dev, Andrea Lynn Christman Dr. Dennis, and Patricia Lynn Ostrander Peter. She is also survived by sisters Wanitta Maddox of Laguna Woods, California and Margie Brucks of Jefferson City, Missouri. Joan was further blessed with seven grandchildren, including Monty, Julia, Erik, Jason, Andy, Jamie, and Spencer; and great-grandson Tyler. A celebration of her life will be held on December 10 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen-Washelli funeral home - 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Swedish home care services, or your favorite charity.
