Born July 22, 1915 in Ellensburg, WA, Jack passed away April 12, 2011 in San Antonio, TX at 95. He graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1933 and worked as a welder, blacksmith, mechanic, and backhoe operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineer's Union for 69 years and the Swauk Teeanaway Grange for 74 years. He played accordian in country bands in the 30s and 40s in the Kittitas Valley. He married Charlotte V. Mann in 1936 and they enjoyed 63 years together until her passing in 2000. He is survived by a daughter, Sharleen Joann Klint; his youngest brother, David Buchanan, 9 grandchildren, Randall Klint, Carol Klint, Gary Klint, Miles Dawson, Lance Dawson, John Dawson Jones, Michael Lake, Annette Lake, and Kathy Mendonca; and 8 great- grandchildren, Austin Klint, Avery Klint, Emma Dawson, Levi Dawson, Cole Lake, Kiara Lake, Connor Mendonca, and Riley Mendonca. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Lorraine Doolittle, and his son, Ward John Dawson.
