Born in Chicago on February 17, 1925 to Irish immigrants (William and Winifred Flynn), he was proceeded in death by his lovely wife of fifty-five years, Donna Rose Flynn (nee Barrow), and by his brother James Flynn and sister Mary Flynn.
John is the father of five: Jeanne M. Regis, Nancy L. Glenn, John W. Flynn, Kathleen A. Flynn, and William T. Flynn. He was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
John enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946. For thirty years, he was a sales executive at West Coast Paper Company, retiring in 1990.
In lieu of flowers, he requested donations be made to St. Brendan's Catholic School or Knights of Columbus #6686--both in Bothell, Washington.
On Wednesday, January 18th at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Bothell, Rosary is scheduled for 10:00am. The Funeral Mass begins at 11:00am, followed by a reception at church and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle.
