Passed away April 6, 2002. His parents were the late Donald M. Gates and Lavina Barron Gates. He is survived by his wife Melanie Hurst Gates and two children Brendan Michael and Brittany Gates. He is also survived by his brothers James, Robert, Richard and David and sisters Crystal Ryan, Holly, Dea?K and Laura Gates. He graduated from Shore Crest high school in 1979 and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked for Pemco Insurance. He was a devoted father and husband and a hard worker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1:00PM, at the Harbour Pointe Building, 1101 Harbour Pointe Blvd. Mukilteo, WA. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Gates Children Fund at Washington Mutual Bank would be welcomed.
