Born January 2, 1929 in La Grande OR; passed away January 20, 2004 in Seattle at age 75. John attended O?Dea High School and Seattle University. He served in the Army in the Korean War. Retiring after 30 years with the US Government, he enjoyed hiking and climbing in the Olympic and Cascade Mountains with the Mountaineers of Seattle. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Frances M. Hinkle; daughters, Catherine J. Hinkle, Barbara A. Don Musikachart Hinkle, Susan E. Douglas Shae Hinkle and Irene M. Marc Winters; grandchildren, Carriann and Elise Shae, Diandre Musikachart and Melina Winters; sisters, Charlene Cram, Beth Jones, many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, January 28; 10:30AM and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM; Church of Christ the King Catholic Parish, 405 N. 117th St. Seattle. Committal, Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, Shoreline. Remembrances may be made to O?Dea High School or the American Parkinson?s Disease Association.
