Growing up, John was known for his wonderful sense of humor. It seemed he always had a smile on his face. He was also well known for his pranks - Just ask any of his siblings about that.
He was also a great football player. He played football at Taft High school in Chicago and then at North Park College. From playing to watching, football was a true passion for John, first as a Bears fan and then as a Seahawk.
After college, John joined the Stagehand Union in Chicago, working as a lighting director. He even worked on the Oprah Winfrey Show in his early days. John was married twice in Chicago and has three children there.
In 1987 John moved to Seattle where he met his third wife, Terri Maloney, to whom he was married for 25 years. They have one child, Sean Maloney.
John built a thriving business in Seattle, first as a home remodeler, then as a real estate broker, and finally as a successful home builder.
In his spare time, John also enjoyed golf, hiking, camping, and taking his RV to watch his son race in motocross events.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Terri Maloney, his son, Sean Maloney, and by a large family including his parents, his seven siblings, and many other friends and relatives. He will be forever missed and cherished by those he leaves behind.
