Joyce E Bailey

Joyce was blessed with three children - Eric, Lesley and Robin, who survive her in death. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She will be fondly remembered by all.

She was born on November 24, 1929 and adopted by her Norwegian parents, Esther Pedersen and Engval Amdal. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1947.

In 1964 she began her career as a piano and organ teacher. She touched the lives of many through her profession. She taught at Kennelly Keys, her personal business named Joyce Bailey Studio, and most recently through the Ballard, Loyal Heights, and Meadowbrook Community Centers. She continued to teach until 2016 when her health began to fail.

She was a proud member of the Golden Beavers Alumni Association, the Ballard Elks Club, and the Music Teachers National Association.

The family will have a private service. Remembrances may be made to Medic One Seattle or Swedish Medical Center-Seattle.
