

Judith (Judy) Baker,80, passed away on June 4, 2025 at her home in Shoreline, Washington. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Baker of 29 years. She is survived by her daughter Tara Leigh, granddaughters Brittany (Arthur), Alexis, and Jourdan, great grandchildren Brody, Knox , and Sutton, brother Jack (Donna) Davies and nephews and a niece.
Judy was born in Seattle on August 9, 1944 to Jack and Florence Davies. The family moved to Lake Forest Park in 1954 where Judy became an expert equestrian, able to ride her horses throughout the area which is now Alderwood Mall. She graduated from Shoreline High School in 1962. She was married in 1963, purchased her home in Shoreline in 1964, and welcomed her only child, Tara Leigh in 1969. Later divorcing her husband that year. It was in 1971 that she married the love of her life, Nick Baker, who showed her daily how special she was until his passing in 2001. She and Nick enjoyed boating in the San Juan Islands and fishing in the Puget Sound. She loved to spend time in her yard gardening, she was an avid reader, and teddy bear collector, often going to teddy bear conventions with her sister in law.
Judy worked in insurance and retired from Church Mutual Insurance in 2008. She enjoyed her adventures traveling all over the world with her husband and friends, with Ireland being her favorite.
Judy loved her friends and family as much as they loved her, always offering to help others and setting examples of what being a truly remarkable woman looks like. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, Washington 98133 on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
