Age 85; passed away Sunday, October 5, 2003 after a brief illness. Born Melba June Levina Cormier on June 2, 1918 in Tacoma, Washington, she was the daughter of Beulah Ethel and Lloyd Noah Cormier. June graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Capt. Melvin J. Parker in 1999. June is survived by her sons, Sandy Gebaroff, Steven Parker, and daughter, Sylvia Stewart; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. June was a beloved music teacher for many years in the Seattle area and she and Mel shared many special memories of their world travels together. By family request, a private graveside memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the Shrine Children?s Hospital. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Swedish Hospital Ballard for the kind and compassionate care they provided.
