Karen Walker, 89, a resident of Glendale, Arizona passed away on August 1, 2026. Karen was born in Butte, Montana on June 7, 1937 to Alice and Bernard Semmens. She attended Webster Elementary, Butte High School, and graduated from Montana State (College) University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology. Karen married her longtime love Robert (Bob) Charles Walker in Butte on August 20, 1960. Together they raised a family in Mountlake Terrace and Mill Creek, Washington where Bob was an electrical engineer at Boeing in Seattle. Karen and Bob retired to Phoenix, Arizona in 1998.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two daughters Deborah Ann Walker and Kimberly Farden, and Karen’s brother Bernard Edwin.
Karen is survived by her son Randall S. Walker of Edmonds, WA; brother Dr. W. J. Semmens (Lin) of Phoenix, AZ; sister Barbara Semmens of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Kathy Walker of Dayton, MT; grandsons Steven Farden (Abby) and Michael Farden (Ashley); three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Karen enjoyed needlework, dogs, cats, and cooking for her family. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind heart.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held September 29, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle, WA.
