Kay was born on March 10, 1941 in Alameda, California. She died on July 5th in Seattle. Kay was one of five children, including an identical twin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin C. and Helen Mellin, and one brother, Leslie Mellin.
She is survived by her twin, Karen (Hal) Malloch; Alvin C. "Skipper" (Barbara) Mellin, Jr. and Lee Ann Farwell. Kay had many nieces, nephews, family and friends that she deeply loved.
Kay had a wonderful life growing up in California, and had plenty of identical twin pranks to always remind us of what a character she was.
Kay met and married Monte Robinson in 1962 and quickly moved to Seattle. Soon after they would move to Anacortes and have three beautiful children. She is survived by Dale (Melodie) Robinson; Shan (Cam) Williams and Britt (Buddy) Payne. "Ma" dearly loved her three grandchildren; Christine Briggs; Haley Robinson and Jet Jones.
Kay was married for 34 years, as a joyous and wonderful mother, and later moved to Seattle to be closer to all of her children and grandchildren. Her love and light was apparent to anyone who met or knew her. She loved playing her accordion and piano for elderly people; but they were not strangers to her. People gravitated to her sweet, optimistic and hysterically funny disposition. Kay went to church and loved God her entire life. It is this that comforts us in this difficult time; knowing she is at her home in Heaven, with God.
The family would like to thank everyone who knew her and loved her for kind expressions of sympathy, love and prayers at this time.
