Kathryn Eleanor Carlson

Daughter of Lloyd Carothers and Cecile Dailey (deceased). Mother of Bob Carlson, (Crystal). Most loving Grandmother of Chloe Marie and Otis Carter Carlson. Sister of Judy Choate, Debbie Clark (deceased) Mary Thoen, and Lesley Tremain. Kathy was a Graduate of Queen Anne High School Class of 1967. She worked for the University of Washington for over 42 years. Kathy was the Data Control Manager at UW Medical Information and Technology Systems when she retired in 2012. Kathy loved her family, especially her grandchildren, music, particularly the Blues, and fighting the good fight to ensure that women got paid the same wages as men. She believed that ‘Wild Women Don’t Get the Blues’ and did her best to live her life that way. Kathy leaves behind her cousins, aunts, uncles, her work family at UW MITS and many lifelong friends. We will always remember her sparkle!
