Katie, lovingly known as Katie Mae, was a devoted Christian, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She always put others first and stood up for what she believed in. Katie was kind, compassionate, and enjoyed engaging in conversations with others.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Elliott Diggs, her sister Billie Dove, her brother Henry and sister-in-law Barbara Jenkins Sr., her nephew Craig Dove, her great-nephew Adam Dove, her nephew and niece-in-law Ken and Sue Dove, her nephew and niece-in-law Marvin and Christine Dove, her great-niece Jordan Dove, her nephew and niece-in-law Henry and Lashawn Jenkins, her great-nephews Henry III, Lee, Absolom, Selah, Zameal, and great-niece Abigail Jenkins, her nephew and niece-in-law Marcell and Keisha Jenkins, her great-niece Shayla Jenkins, and a host of cousins and great cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Billy and Veronia Jenkins, and her daughter and son, April and Habb Nelson.
Katie Mae worshipped at Puyallup SDA Church.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Evergreen Washelli in Seattle, WA.

A graveside service for Katie will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
