Lee was born in San Francisco, to William and Mildred Bushkin, moving to Seattle in childhood. She was a high spirited, outgoing young lady when she married Alvin Fields on September 3, 1950. They built their life together in the same home for over 50 years, raising their sons as energetic athletes, always headed to the next competition. She herself was an athlete; playing doubles tennis for decades with Al, and as an expert snow skier on the slopes of Sun Valley until 80 years of age. She actively participated in the “somewhat important” social life of the Valley. As an avid Husky fan, she was decked out in purple and gold on Saturdays in the fall cheering on her Dawgs. Lee loved the sun, and could often be found in the back yard in her bathing suit, doing the gardening. She was easily recognizable, with her short hair and her year-round tan. Lee believed in living every day to its fullest. Even as her health declined in her later years, she said constantly, “Never give up on life.”
She is survived by her sons, David and Scott, and his wife, Vicki Fields; and her brother, Steve, and his wife, Pat Bushkin.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 10th at 10:00 AM at Hills of Eternity Cemetery.
