Lois May Allen was a loving wife to Dale, mother to Larry (Pam), Curtis (Gail), grandmother to Jesse, Lydia, Marissa, Shellea, Owen, and Gregory, great grandmother to Gavin, sister to Billy, Corrine, Beverly, Buck, Carole, Jim, and Janet, and a wonderful aunt to so many. Lois was welcomed to this earth in East Grand Forks, Minnesota October,24th to Wesley, and Selma Falconer. Lois May Allen went to rest in his arms on April 4th, 2010. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, and her brother Duke.
Lois married the love of her life, Dale Allen, on March 5th, 1948 in Seattle, WA. Lois and Dale settled in the greenwood neighborhood of North Seattle to raise their two boys there.
Lois took pride in her beautiful yard which looked like a park. In 1971 they bought a 5 acre parcel of land that included an A-frame structure in Monroe which they lovingly named "the Farm". There they enjoyed many weekends laughing, gardening, tending to the land, and most importantly, visiting those friends and family who would drop by to spend time with them. Life in the country seemed to fit them perfectly, so they had their dream home built
there at "the Farm".
Their new home was completed in 1986. Lois and Dale spent many happy years in their home on the farm making many special memories for all of us who who spent time with them there. The time came to leave the farm when it became increasing hard to keep up, so Lois and Dale moved to their final residence in the town of Monroe. Lois had so many friends at the senior center of monroe, where she spent many hours running the gift shop, and participating in so many worthwhile activities there.
What a joy it was to know Lois, she was a lover of life, so gregarious, and humorus, and you knew when she entered a room, all of the lights seemed a bit brighter! Lois had so many gifts, and if you were fortunate enough to know her, you will always be left with special loving memories, and most of all,a grin on your face in her rememberance.
We will all miss you Lois. God Bless you, and keep you.
