Over the years, as Loretta and Bill helped us to develop and enrich the annual cemetery walking tour at Mt. Pleasant, I got to know Loretta as a friend. She and I had lengthy discussions on just about everything to do with those who were interred, inurned, etc. We also talked about her growing up in the Yakima Valley, as I had numerous relatives in that area as well. One discussion involved the pu-pu platters at the Palisades Restaurant at the foot of Magnolia. A couple of years ago, we shared a "picnic" when the weather finally turned sunny, with lemonade and cheese and crackers. I know that one of the great achievements for Loretta was getting much of the cemetery data online. Members of the walking tour committee of the Queen Anne Historical Society: Isabel Egglin, John Hennes, Del Loder, Bruce Jones, and myself send our deepest sympathy to the family. Loretta's family were neighbors of us, we lived between Wapato and Toppenish.  My parents Jeff & Rosetta Fowelr were friends and my Mom used to visit with Bessie.  I remember her dad too-Bud. I left in 54 and my husband and I moved to this side of the mts in 1958.  I trust that Loretta's family can find some comfort in this sad time.  A life well lived is a life well remembered.

My Cousin "The Lor" laughed a little louder, fought a little harder and shined brighter then anyone I have known.  She was funny, smart, quick and loved.  She touched more lives then she realized.  You will be missed.

Loretta and her family lived near my folks in the country (Wapato) what seems like eons now!  Jeff & Rose Fowler were neighbors and friends, when I got off the school bus to head home passed their house.  I graduated in 1951.  I never knew the girls as adults but it sounds like Loretta did well and created a great legacy. I left the valley in 1958 and have lived on this side of the mts since then! When we lose loved ones it's a deep pain but just hang on to good memories of a life well lived. May the family find comfort at this difficult time.

Our Loretta was one of a kind. She came into my life when I was a young girl and she's been there ever since.  I love her like a second mom.  I won't ever forget you. None of us will Mom, Don and I.  You are so so missed.  I can't even begin to put into words just how much. I love you Loretta. Andy does to. Always will. xxxx
