I'm really glad I got go know Lou while he worked for a charter bus company in Seattle.  I'll miss Lou's friendly, big hearted nature.  One of the few people you meet in life that you can really say you were glad to have know him.  

I was one of "Lou Gellermann's boys" in 1969-70 as a member of the Husky Frosh Crew. Like every other young man on that team, I would have gladly run through a brick wall if he asked it of me. I have been involved with sports as a coach and official of several different sports at all levels my entire life since that time, and I say with certainty that Lou Gellermann was the very finest coach I ever met. I will close with the strongest term any of us ever heard him utter, "Dadgummit!"

What a legacy he leaves behind!!!  He was a light in my life I will never forget.He coached me in swimming while I was in high school. Lou will always be  in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences for the loss of your Dad.  I hold many fond memories of his vitality, grit and adventuresome spirit.
