Lucille Catherine LaFlamme, age 87, of Seatac, Washington passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019. Lucille was born February 14, 1932 in Paola, Kansas to Anton & Lilie Prothe. She enjoyed a career as an elementary school teacher in Coos Bay, Oregon for many years.
After retirement, Lucille turned her focus to crochet and needlework where she became a gifted designer. She loved landscape gardening and spent many happy years building rock gardens and growing several kinds of greenery and beautiful flowers. Bringing beauty and design to others were key aspects of Lucille’s interests. She also did some volunteer work at her local hospital where she donated of her time and talents.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack LaFlamme, sister Hazel Henry of Paola, Kansas, and sister-in-law Willajean Prothe of Newport, Oregon.
She is survived by her brother, Orville Prothe, her daughters Barbara (David) Treen and Deborah (John) Knapp, and granddaughter Beth (Matthew) Owens.
