Born of Norwegian immigrants, raised in Seattle's Phinney Ridge/Green Lake neighborhood, Lynn attended Lincoln High School (class of 1943), UW for two years, and then graduated from The Metropolitan School of Business.
Lynn enjoyed a full array of interests and a varied career. She was an accomplished trophy golfer, an excellent skier (Penguin Ski Club and more recently, Ancient Skiers), and a superb Ballroom dancer.
Her career began as a bookkeeper and developed into management positions with law firms and political jobs. Lynn married Dr. Milton Durham and moved to Spokane to raise her family; daughters Heidi and Dana (Pat).
She moved back to Seattle in 1974 and launched a new career in Ballroom dancing, starting The Seattle Singles Dance Club, which later became The All City Dance Club. This became the most popular and longest-lasting dance club of its kind in Puget Sound. This is where she met and later married Ross Davidson of Everett. They began wintering in Sun City, where they developed many friendships and went dancing most evenings. Together they traveled extensively around the world, and enjoyed their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
