Darlene passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2005. Darlene was a passionate, fun loving, adventurous women her entire life. Sporting the nickname ?Go Go? summed up her lifestyle. She was born on a farm in Bryant, S.D. in 1919 to John and Anna Rovang along with 3 younger sisters. Darlene went to New Zealand and lived for five years, starting her first home in a remote family owned country inn. Darlene and Bill then returned to Seattle, and spent a good portion of their lives as Blue Ridge residents where they raised four children and were active community members serving on several non-profit organizations.
