Margaret Peggy V. Russel

Margaret V. ?Peggy? RUSSEL, age 82, of Bellevue, passed away on May 27, 2006. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 23, 1923. ?Peggy? was raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she attended Loretto Academy. ?Peggy? later graduated as a registered nurse from Seton School of Nursing in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1945, Peggy joined the U.S. Army Nursing Corps where she served until 1947. On November 26, 1948, ?Peggy? married Joseph W. Russel at St. Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked as a registered nurse at hospitals throughout the United States while raising a family of five children and following her husband on his naval assignments around the world.. Peggy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 57-years, Joseph W. Russel, son, David W. Russel & wife Theresa; daughters, Laura L. Pendergraft & husband Kelly, Jeanine M. Russell, Susan E. Russel, M. Madeline Russel, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Colleen Russel and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31st at the Bothell Funeral Home, 18224 - 103rd Avenue N.E., Bothell, WA 98011. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7355 - 120th Ave. NE, Kirkland, WA 98033. Services will conclude at the church with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. If desired, memorials may be made in ?Peggy?s? memory to the Holy Family Parish Building Fund.
