December 19, 1938 - August 29, 2017
My name is Marianne C. Lee, 78, and I was born December 19, 1938 in Glenwood, MN. God called me home on August 29, 2017. I was at my house in Mountlake Terrace, WA with my family and friends by my side.
I was raised on our farm in Villard, MN which I attended and graduated from Villard High School. This was a fun wholesome place to grow up.
I was married to Richard E. Lee (deceased) on June 2, 1958. We moved to Seattle, WA in 1960.
I enjoyed being employed at the Federal Reserve Bank for 32 years. After that, I worked for Eddie Bauer for 2 ½ years and for Washington Mutual Bank for 7 years, and was self-employed for many years. I owned and managed R&M Specialties, in Mountlake Terrace, WA. It was a candy and gift store which I made candy for any and all occasions. I was also a member/officer of the American Business Women's Association. I finally fully retired in 2006.
I was blessed by hosting International Students and was a full time caregiver for an individual with disabilities for 8 years from 2007 to 2015.
I enjoyed doing many wonderful things such as gardening, embroidery and reading.
I was preceded in death by my parents, Henry F Gerdes and Mary C. Gerdes, my brother George Henry Gerdes, and my precious baby girl Brenda Gayleen Lee.
I am survived by my beautiful daughter Tonya RaNae, my son-in-law Don and my wonderful granddaughters Vanessa Lee Anne and Serena Gabriele Miewald, who all live in Bothell, WA; brother John Gerdes of Verndale, MN and other relatives and many treasured friends.
My celebration of Life will be on Sunday, September 10th at 3 P.M. at Park Ridge Community Church, 3805 Maltby Road, Bothell, WA. My graveside service will be on Monday, September 11th at 3 P.M. at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA,
