She was born in Montréal, Québec to Joseph and Elizabeth Martin, and was raised in the beautiful state of Maine. Marilyn, along with several of her siblings, eventually moved to Seattle, Washington, where she found her forever home and was where she raised her only child, Karen. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her treasured great-granddaughter, Jayda, and granddaughter, Alison, along with a large and loving extended family. She will also be dearly missed by her friends and beloved bingo buddies.
Marilyn loved to travel, knit, and was an avid Mariners fan. But her most favorite hobby of all was playing bingo (and giving dirty looks to anyone that dared to call "Bingo!" before her).
Marilyn never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She laughed often, loved freely, and loved dirty jokes. Marilyn's legacy proves that kindness, laughter, love, and a little sass really are the keys to happiness. She will be missed by many, and will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local Children's hospital.
