

Marilyn graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended the University of Washington, and then graduated from Warner Pacific College at age 59. She did additional studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary for one year.
She married the Rev. Elbert Harlow in 1946, serving pastorates in Port Townsend, Tacoma, and Port Angeles in WA, as well as in Butte, MT. She also did a seven-month Interim pastorate in Palmerston, Otago, New Zealand. She highly enjoyed her life as a minister’s wife and felt blessed to have had this opportunity. As a fine pianist, she used her talents in every pastorate. In 1990, she married retired Navy Chaplain Charles Zimbelman, USN. They moved to Cristwood Park, in Shoreline, WA where she formed a musical ensemble of residents who gave numerous programs in several churches in Cristwood. In 2012 she married Charlie Snow and they had 6 happy years of travel and companionship. Marilyn lived at Cristwood Park for 30 years.
Marilyn greatly enjoyed her many friendships, reading, extensive travels, history of Oregon Trail and Lewis and Clark Trails, Bible studies, bicycling, writing numerous programs and presenting them, plus a lifetime of learning.
She was predeceased by her husbands, her sister(s) Bernice Jameson Wood and Margaret Jameson Riese. She is survived by son David Harlow, Daughter-in-law Laura Blake, 6 grandchildren, numerous step children and great grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Marilyn will be interred at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Atlanta, MO.
A Memorial service will be held on April 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 18826 3rd Ave., Shoreline, WA 98177
