Wow! Mrs. Nelson - were do I even start... You were my kindergarten teacher and my third grade teacher. My heart ACHES knowing that you have passed. During my years at highland Park you got very close to my family because my grandma, 'Grammy' as all of you would know her. Grammy passed away in 2016 and I can tell you that was one of the worst years I had to live through. Then my papa passed in 2017.. I truly believed he passed because of a broken heart. And now here I am learning all these years later that you passed. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher

To a dear friend who always offered a smile and and an ear. We still miss you Marilyn. My kindergarten and third grade colleague, then a wonderful friendship.
I have many memories from over a decade of traveling to our holiday B&B's, the five of us, enjoying the shops, dining and walking in the cold, our hats and gloves high teas, sitting in the cozy living room with the fire going and all of us chatting and laughing. In La Conner we all played Mexican train and then padded up to our own special rooms. Those and many more great times.

Just wanted to let you know that we still miss your mom. I hope you both are doing well. Her name and memories still come up at our get togethers. Marilyn was fun and we shared many hardy laughs together. There is a un unfillable hole in our lives without her.

Mrs. Nelson was my kindergarten teacher. She was always vibrant and loved her students. She would read books to us like  Corduroy, Chrysanthemum, and many others. One thing that I will never forget is that she LOVED Cheetos. I am blessed to have met such a wonderful person.

We have lived next door to Marilyn for 2 years. She was always smiling and quite the conversationalist. She loved her roses and seemed to love working in the outdoors.  She will be missed.
