Marilyn B Waterson

April 9, 1936 - DEC 12, 2023

Lynn Waterson, 87, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Toledo, OR and named Mary'Lynn Kingsley Rix. Her parents were Dr. Raymond Rix, MD and Mary E. Hemsley, RN. Later MariLynn and her younger brother Steven "Dennis" Rix joined their parents in moving to Seattle. "Lynn" graduated from Lincoln HS in 1955. Following her parents' "medical" footsteps, Lynn enrolled in the UW School of Nursing. In March 1957, Lynn married Jack Roy Waterson. While Jack was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Essex on the east coast, Lynn remained in Seattle finishing nursing school. She graduated in June 1957. Reuniting in Seattle, Jack formed Fidelity Window Cleaning Company and Lynn worked at Swedish Hospital. She spent 30 years on the 'graveyard' shift. They were proud parents of twin sons, David and Mark and later Christopher. They were married for 62 years. "We had a good marriage. We could really converse."

In the 1990's Lynn was a convert to Catholicism and was active in giving, serving and helping others. "I love my faith unconditionally". She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, sons Mark and Christopher and brother Dennis. Lynn is survived by her son David and his wife Mariella Cacdac. "I want people to know I had a good life"

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 18033 15th Place NE, Shoreline, WA at 11AM on Thurs. Jan. 18, 2023. Interment will be at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery.
